Ponteceso's sea – and Corme's in particular – has been fruitful in seasoned sailors. Compared to the other ports on the northern Costa da Morte, this port's draft made it a good place for large vessels. Once we've entered the town itself, don't forget to take a stroll through Corme's old neighbourhoods, which are now Corme street names.
On this route you will find the footprints of intrepid and illustrious explorers born in this land as well as anonymous stories of brave sailors. Perhaps because of his past, Corme is also home to the Fundación Torre-Pujales, Costa da Morte Museum of Contemporary Art which develops various cultural activities.
From the port of Corme, there is a road that extends the Camiño da Ribeira hiking trail about 3.5 kilometres more towards Cape Roncudo. By the sea, almost touching the cliffs at arm's length, on foot or by bike, you'll enjoy a rugged landscape that changes with the daylight, conveying different sensations.
